Ever since the runway shows months ago, Ralph Lauren's western inspired quintessential Americana designs in his SS11 collections stood out to me as one of the most cohesive and iconic collections of them all. How do you feel about the trend? Is it making you want to bring out your inner cowgirl?

The  bold shoulder of this primal print jacket is absolutely stunning over this drapy flesh tone blouse, both such contrasts to the black harem pants and I love that. Well, I already have my Topshop wedge ankle booties...

The same qualities are evident in this ensemble...the strong shoulder, the black wedge (minus the peep-toe), black harem pants—easy enough to make my own adaptation of it. Well at least I hope so.

I just want these loose fitting pants. Perfect for swiftly cruising from building to building, class to class, meeting to meeting. And the simple winter white sweater, genius.

I can't say enough about this garb. You already know my sentiment of maxi dresses, flowing materials, and neutrals...but what I love about this is the contrast between the volume of the skirt and the fit of the belted cardigan with those sheer sleeves (e x q u i s i t e much). For a while I hated belts, now I'm in love with what they can do to an outfit, taking it from anticipated to unpredictable.

Again the belt adds that je ne sais quoi element to the outfit. The sparkle is just enough glam for the look to still be sophisticated and not cheap. (BTW, I would lose the white tights with both looks and swap it with black ones for the previous and knee highs and a garter belt for this one.)

Well, I'd flip the X to the back, and wouldn't wear a shirt with such a high neckline—I'd much rather opt for a blouse with a bit of side cleavage.

The trademark red sole give these babes away—I had to post these from the same collection because they are nothing short of g o r g e o u s. The platform is tall enough, the hardware is prominent enough without being overpowering—simply lustful.

S2011RTW LOOKS I'M LOVING

My style is one extreme to the other—it's either black, minimal, bitchy and tough with sharp shoulders, unabashed plunging necklines, thigh-high splits, grommets and studs or muted, soft whites, creams and pastels with Grecian inspired drapery made from luxe silks, chiffon and jersey.

With that in mind...

There's something very pleasing to me about this light beige hue and the graciously draped yet narrow plunging v-neckline of this one-piece—sexy, but unpretentiously. It's easily wearable, yet the details—the rouched sleeves, faux wrap draping—make it classically sophisticated. I love how Hermès styled it with the piles of bangles, popped collar and modest sandals...

Don't really understand the sequined waistband, or even why I can't stop scrolling my eyes up and down this photo...and that's why I love it. And because it feeds my obsession with thigh high splits and full-length maxi dresses.

Elie Saab lets a girl dream...This blush pink makes my heart purr, my soul sing...it's so soft, but dramatic and beautiful and alluring. This brings me back to my childhood mindset when I would wrap sheets and comforters around my waist and secure them with scrunchies and run up and down the stairs—I thought I was Cinderella.

The lines in this design is amazing. And this delicate gown with those platforms—ah, genius. Elie Saab has the coveted title of my favorite S2011RTW collection, hands down. 

The majority of the Calvin Klein collection was a minimalist's dream. Though I'm so over black—or so I've convinced myself—and white is my new confidant this spring, I can't get enough of this dress. Can't get enough of it with those unassuming black and bronze strappy platforms and that relaxed ponytail.

And I'm Not Usually A Prada Fan

I’m still not sure what they’re carrying…

I mean, can you get sexier than this single-sided thigh high curved split? Jet black, thin straps—so easy, comfortable, and free but it’ll make you look like you’re worth two billion. I think when you’ve mastered style, you’ve mastered how to look like you spent twelve hours getting ready when really it only took twelve minutes…

Wish I could see this from the back because I think the skin peeking out on the sides is the sexiest ever. It’s artful yet deviously sensual and not just sexy. All the shoes in this collection were (surprisingly) phenomenal.

P.S. I think this model (forgive me for not having her name fore you) is perfectly beautiful. 

I die for the minimalistic look of Prada’s S11 RTW collection. I’m not one for patterns or prints, but these (varying in size) stripes really is tempting.

For an industry which prides itself on being one step ahead of everything else, it seems as if the fashion industry is finally getting it. In Prada’s Spring 2010 ready-to-wear collection there were models who actually had subtle, graceful curves and ladylike meat on their bones like hips, calves and…arms! And did you peep the tattoos? I love that. As for the tatts and the more curvaceous models, this isn’t he first time I’ve seen them pop up on the runway, but since it seems like it won’t be just a trend…

In one day, out the other…

I thought now it was worthy to write about. Didn’t want to jinx anything (before)…
